SUMP-GARD SGK

Cantilevered bearingless pump has run-dry capability

Vanton SGK cantilevered sump pumps feature a large diameter, plastic sleeved, alloy steel shaft that eliminates the need for immersed bearings or bushings, allowing run-dry operation for extended periods. Rugged epoxy-coated cast iron motor bracket accommodates NEMA, IEC and standard European motors. Lengths to 2 metres (6 ft) (deeper with tailpipe), flows to 227 m3/hr (1000 gpm) at heads to 64 metres (210 ft)

General

Pump to be constructed with all wetted components of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polypropylene (PP), or polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) thermoplastic materials. Flows to 850 GPM (193m3/h). Heads to 175 Ft (53m). Temperatures to 275°F (135ºC). Sump depths to 4 Ft (1.2m), deeper with tail pipe.

Advantages of thermoplastics

  • Greater chemical resistance over thr pH range compared to metals or thermosets.

  • Superior resistance to abrasion compared to metals or thermoset composites.

  • No metallic contamination of the fluid.

  • No peoblems with galling Easier maintenance.

  • No interbatch product contamination Fiberglass composites wick and absorb by capillary action. Solid homogeneous thermoplastics don’t

  • No galvanic corrosion or rusting Metals corrods, plastics don’t

Advantages

  • Providing indefinite dty-rn capability and dependable pertion.

  • Availabe with standard semi-open or closed impellers.

  • Recessed Vortex impeller for slurries and fluids containing stringy materials without impeller clogging.

  • Desingned to handle corrosive, abrasive and haczardous process fluids, wastewater liquids and slurries across the entire pH range.
