CHEM-GARD CG
Thermoplastic Horizontal Centrifugal Pumps

The Vanton CHEM-GARD CG design was the first horizontal centrifugal pump engineered from inception to utilise the unique characteristics of thermoplastics. It is not a metal pump made of non-metallics. Design features include molded plastic components, tangential discharge, wide open seal area and retractable front bearing to simplify maintenance and accommodate all popular mechanical seals.
General
Pump constructed with all wetted components of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC), polypropylene (PP), polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) or ethylene chloro trifluoroethylene (ECTFE) homogeneiu thermoplastic materiastic materials Flows to 900 GPM (204m3/h). Heads to 185 Ft (122m). Temperatures to 275°F (135°C).
Specifications
1. Pump casing and cover moded fom virgin, homogeneous thermoplastics
2. impeller Dynamically balanced molded from virgin homogeneous material with an imbedded, stainless steel insert. Key driven to assure positive drive.
3. Drive Pedestal With Retractable Front Bearing Designed to provide a wide open seal area. This simplifies inspection. assures minimun shaft overhang and deflection, and reduces maintenance
4. Shaft Stainless steel large diameter shaft with wetted end completely sleeved with thermoplastic to isolate it fro the fluid.
5. Mechanical Seals The pumps are designed to ermit the use of all standard single and double mechanical seais without pump moditication The seais are rverse mounted with the nonmetallic seal component inboard to avoid any metal-to-fluid contact and to make it unnecessary to utilize high alioy or exotic metal seal componenis
6. External Cast lron Armor Completely painted with 2-part epoxy chemically resistant coatings for protection against atmospheric corrosion
